“From the time I decided to have a party to celebrate my first 50 years having a great live group was always going to be key to the event. We spoke to people in the know the usual “my mate plays in a group” but I knew we wanted something special and we eventually found it after looking at a number of groups live and on the net. The first impressions of Func on the Rocks is a very professional and well put together web site. The initial contact with Annie the manager was also professional with prompt communication. This gave me confidence to proceed with the booking which was a smooth process and accommodated our timing and music choice including a proper contract which I felt was a big plus when parting with a decent sum of money upfront.
On the evening the band were just so professional, set up, timing, quality everything that I hoped for. Everyone of my 100 plus guests commented how good they were. I have just been back to settle my bill at the venue which was the Golf Club at Brass Castle. The catering manager has been there 10 years and the bar manager 30 years they have seen lots and lots of bands over that time. Their words to me “the best singer and musicians that have ever played at our place” what more can I say.

From the onset Annie answered my questions via email promptly. The song lists for us to choose our tunes for the evening were extensive – fab selection, it took us ages whittling it down to our final choice – each song was performed brilliantly I must add! Even the request for my husband to join the band on bass for one number was accommodated and he loved it !! All our guests had a fantastic evening and the floor was filled from start to finish with our youngest guest age 2 up to my dad age 89!!! The staff at the venue all commented that they had never heard such a fantastic band play at Delbury. The only disappointment was that it was all over far too soon I only hope that I get the opportunity to hear you play again in the not too distant future “

After trawling through endless sound clips on the internet, we had not found a band that even came close. Then one click later, the voice of Cherie Gears somehow managed to fill the room, even through the tiny speakers of our laptop. The next day, we had our band booked.
