Oulton Hall is a stunning country hotel in West Yorkshire and a local favourite of ours to perform at.
We love coming back to Oulton Hall for weddings and corporate events as it is so versatile and has numerous spaces around the hotel suitable for any celebration and event.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches, guests were welcomed into the bar area for tea and coffee. Meanwhile the room was transformed for the evening reception.
The dance floor and stage area were set up promptly so our wedding band, Func On the Rocks could load in, set up and sound check effortlessly.
Allison and Tom pulled out all the stops to ensure an unforgettable experience for their special guests.
Full stocked sweetie bar, photo booth supplied by Yorkshire Magic Mirror who were ready to capture the fun with a selection of comical props and of course a huge supply of flip flops and inflatable instruments!
The couple were anticipating that friends and family would be up for a boogie so booked us to play 3 sets of live music.
After the cutting of the cake our lead singer welcomed everyone around the edge of the dancefloor to introduce the First dance that Allison and Tom would take as husband and wife.
The couple chose us to perform a unique cover of Two Hearts by Phil Collins. Starting the pop track slow and intimate with just voice and piano, before kicking into the original high energy tempo and singalong chorus that everyone knows and loves.
The the crowd practically jumped onto the dancefloor to join the happy couple and begin the evening of dance celebrations.
After the first set of live music guests were led outside for yet another special treat.
Fireworks lit the sky in magical colours in a jaw dropping display which was enhanced by the beautiful Yorkshire setting.
After the evening buffet, guests hurried back onto the dance floor for more live music.
The bride and groom gave us clear instructions that they loved 90’s dance anthems and classic 80’s hits so we made sure to include dancefloor fillers, such as Murder on The dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bexter, Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap and played a special request for Nanna who loves Tina Turners Simply The Best.
By the third set of live music the energy in the room was electric! There was a funky dance off to Stevie Wonder’s Superstition, a conga to Paul Simon’s Call Me Al and an impressive lift to give Patrick Swayze a run for his money, when we performed Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing.
Safe to say these guys know how to party and helped create some truly memorable moments for their bride and groom.
Thank you so much for letting us share such a special and fun packed wedding with you.

We can’t wait to see you all again soon at the next special occasion or birthday party!
