But recently, a beautiful new trend has started to appear: couples inviting us back to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversaries!
A full-circle moment with Simon & Matt
This summer, we had the absolute pleasure of reuniting with Simon and Matt, a wonderful couple we first met a decade ago when we played at their wedding at Yorebridge House. Ten years later, they got in touch to ask if we’d join them once again – this time to mark their milestone anniversary at the beautiful Castle Inn in Spofforth, Yorkshire.
Set in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, The Castle Inn was the perfect backdrop for their celebration – a charming venue filled with warmth, character, and that relaxed yet elegant atmosphere that makes for an incredible party. As the sun set over the village, the courtyard came alive with music, laughter, and so much love.
It was such a joy to see familiar faces filling the dance floor once more, and to feel that same energy and happiness that made their wedding day so memorable all those years ago. Friends and family who’d been there the first time around told us how they remembered the music, the atmosphere, and how much fun they had dancing the night away.
Music that stands the test of time
As the evening built up to everyone singing along to “You’ve Got the Love” by Florence and the Machine, it felt like the perfect full-circle moment – proof that live music really does hold the power to bring people together, time and time again.
Performing for Simon and Matt reminded us that these celebrations aren’t just one-off moments; they’re part of a story that continues to unfold. And we feel so honoured to play even a small part in those stories – from wedding day to anniversary and beyond.
