We’re so excited to share with you a short snippet from our wedding of the year, celebrating two of our nearest and dearest tying the knot! What a beautiful day it was, the sun was shining bright on the hottest day on record in November as Stephanie & Aden married at The Old Barn in Esholt and it was our pleasure to have performed their first dance to Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud. We’re also delighted to share with you the amazing impromptu performance of Love is in the Air (which we’d never played before!) at the end of the night by Father of the Bride, Mike dusting off his microphone skills from the good old days when he was in a band much like Func On The Rocks.
Now’s your chance to COME AND SEE US LIVE and also do your bit for a fantastic charity. Don’t miss out, get your tickets now!

A great night was had by all at the recent charity event Bramham Ball raising funds for some amazing local causes. The crowd were unbelievable, dancing long into the wee small hours. The night also featured some other fab entertainment including mind-boggling magic and there was even a local celebrity (see if you can spot them!). We had such a ball that we’ll be back to do it all again next year, so get your dancing shoes ready and we’ll see you there.
With thanks to everyone involved in putting on such a great event, and to Pixrich Photography who captured the evening perfectly.
“We booked Func on the Rocks for Bramham Ball this July, raising funds for local charities. They surpassed all expectations and were one of the major reasons why the Ball was so successful. Their unbounded energy and enthusiasm and their ability to keep the dance floor full and buzzing all night meant we had no hesitation in booking them immediately for next year’s Ball. One of our guests booked them soon afterwards for a Birthday party and we can’t wait to hear them again. Great guys, great musicians, great choice of songs = a great night enjoyed by all!” – Nick Hall, Bramham Ball 2013
Who knew we had so many followers in Australia and the states?! Reviewing our website visitors recently makes for very exciting reading. It looks like we’re stretching almost halfway across the world. Here’s a big worldwide hello to everyone out there, drop us a line we’d love to hear from you.
One of the best things about being a function band is getting the chance to play at so many amazing venues. One of our favourites in particular being East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley. This stunning 17th century manor house with romantic gardens and converted barn is perfectly suited to every part of a dream wedding day. You can also rest assured that you will be in the capable hands of an experienced professional with Weddings Supervisor, Emma Cunliffe.
We would like to thank the happy couple Mr & Mrs Fowler for allowing us to be a part of their beautiful day at East Riddlesden Hall recently and share a few shots with you.
“Wonderful! The band fitted in so well with our relaxed feel and even our sixteen month old daughter was up having a boogie!” – Thomas & Catherine Fowler
We don’t often share the blog love with other kinds of businesses, but when we come across a real gem we just have to. For all our brides and grooms from the south, it is our pleasure to introduce to you – Richard Skins, Dorset Wedding Photographer. Enjoy!
Huge congratulations again and thanks to Danika, Gary and the lovely mother-of-the-bride for allowing us to be a part of such a beautiful wedding and then share these shots with you. All the best for the future x
A massive congratulations to Nicola and all involved for such a hugely successful Charity Ball last weekend to raise money for FSID. It was an honour to have been a part of it. http://www.alexanderscharityball.co.uk
The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths is the UK’s leading baby charity aiming to prevent unexpected deaths in infancy and promote infant health.
Performing alongside a great selection of entertainment including Magician Mark Waddington and Grosvenor Fun Casino was an absolute pleasure.
In total the event raised a staggering £16,000 in memory of the tragic loss of Nicola’s son Alexander.
“I wanted to say a Massive Thank You to you all for Saturday night. The band were AMAZING and I don’t think I’ve seen a dance floor fill up so quickly ever! My guests loved the whole thing and the band certainly made an impression on them.
I had hoped for target of £15,000 for this year but we’ve exceeded that with £16029 which is overwhelming and I Thank You for being a part of it.
